Just Launched: FREIGHT

Alive and Kicking

At long last, the wait is over. FREIGHT is HERE! And to celebrate, we’ll be posting our favorite quotes from the book throughout the day on Twitter.
FREIGHT has already received love from Publishers Weekly, Monkeybicycle, Orange Alert, and many others. But we’d like to know if you love it too. Want to play a game? The winner will receive a print copy of every Folded Word title published in 2012, chapbooks AND paperbacks. Five runners-up will receive an e-copy of every 2012 Folded title.
What’s the game? How do you play?
Game = Quote Freight
Rules =

  1. Follow @foldedword on Twitter. (You might also consider following @Mel_Bosworth for bonus points.)
  2. Quote a favorite line from FREIGHT on Twitter and tag it with @Mel_Bosworth #freight. For example: “I’d have been more thankful if the plate was covered with pancakes.” @Mel_Bosworth #freight
  3. Up to 10 lines per day may be quoted per person.
  4. Entrants will be judged on both quantity and quality of quotes.
  5. Contest begins now and ends 30 September 2011 at 9:00 p.m. Pacific.

What’s that? You don’t yet have a copy of FREIGHT from which to quote? Fear not, lovely readers. You may read Chapters 1 and 3 online for free. AND if you ask us nicely below (request should include your Twitter handle), we’ll give you an e-copy (limited to first 20 people). Too late for a free copy? Amazon and Barnes & Noble are running specials right now for the print version, or you can buy an e-book from us for the price of a Happy Meal.

Who knows, maybe together we might get FREIGHT to “trend”?

  1. Congratulations! I will be getting me a copy for the sheer joy of getting to read it. 🙂 Jessie Carty gave it a 5 out of 5 stars. Thanks for letting us know about all that is going on!
