Award Winning Paper House

It’s official. Folded Word and Jessie Carty have their first award winning book. Over the weekend, Paper House won the Northern California Publishers & Authors’ 2011 Best Poetry Book Award!

New Titles New Blogs

It’s been a crazy April around here. Not only were we hatching a Heron and proofing FREIGHT, we typeset two chapbooks and edited our first travel narrative. And yet our queue of titles waiting to be produced is STILL staggeringly long. So in an effort to streamline updates from our globally-diverse crew, we’ve created two new blogs instead of building vast quantities of webpages.

exPRESS: Design

So you have your manuscript prepped with each functional unit saved as a separate file. The next step is designing the book. As a reminder, the tutorial will be written with Adobe’s InDesign in mind (ID4 & ID5 export reasonably clean files to .epub). We are curious to know if the steps will work equally well with QuarkXPress, so please be sure to comment if that’s the program you use.
