It’s that time of year again: unFold Poetry Contest time! Since this year marks unFold’s fifth anniversary bringing you Twitter poems from all over the world, we decided to make the prompt for this year’s contest FIVE (5).
Now that we’re making progress again, we’ve re-opened to submissions. However unlike before, we’re only taking paper submissions that arrive in our US Mailbox (pictured at right).
Calling all poets with spring fever! Folded Word is hosting a virtual garden show on the unFold blog and Twitter stream in May. This will be a juried show, judged in two stages:
Stage 1 = acceptance into the show
Stage 2 = selection of one Best of Show winner and three Honorable Mentions.
As you may or may not have noticed, many of November’s unFold poems have featured some aspect of the writing life. This correlates nicely with NaNoWriMo, so we are now officially calling it the November theme.
Pre-orders are now open for the print edition of both our Signature Chapbooks:
* The Wait of Atom by Jessie Carty
* When the Cats Razzed the Chickens & Other Stories by Mel Bosworth
Purchase options and excerpts are available on the “buy” page of our website.
Are you ready for a crazy, jam-packed month of literary goodness? We are. November at Folded Word will burst at the seams with a Twitter zine launch and the release of two chapbooks.
As we make the final preparations to launch our new poetry Twitter-zine, we thought you might like to know who’ll be featured in the first few issues.
