LEVEL UP: Which edition works for you?

Whether hand-bound or printed on demand, our titles have always included a print choice with an ebook option eventually joining in. Now we’re offering three editions, released in the following stages:

Our Submissions Have Gone Postal

Now that we’re making progress again, we’ve re-opened to submissions. However unlike before, we’re only taking paper submissions that arrive in our US Mailbox (pictured at right).

Octoberfest

Raise your glass and join us in toasting our largest batch of new titles to date. Print books, eBooks, chapbooks, poetry online, author Q&A’s…whatever your reading taste, we’ll have you covered by All Hallows Eve.

exPRESS: Design

So you have your manuscript prepped with each functional unit saved as a separate file. The next step is designing the book. As a reminder, the tutorial will be written with Adobe’s InDesign in mind (ID4 & ID5 export reasonably clean files to .epub). We are curious to know if the steps will work equally well with QuarkXPress, so please be sure to comment if that’s the program you use.

Heron: Live n’ Loud

The first issue of Heron is now available from our website, featuring the flash fiction “Leave Me As I Lessen” by the incomparable Mel Bosworth.

Hatching Heron

Heron is our new print/MP3 fusion mini-mag, slated to launch 15 July 2009. Issue 1 will feature a short story by PicFic’s Regular Contributor Mel Bosworth.
