Month in Review: January 2016

We’ve had a busy January, and don’t expect the next few months to be any less exciting. With new chapbook releases and the launch of a few new or revised projects coming up next month, we are looking forward to February. But for now, here’s our recap for January…

Q & A with Joseph Hutchison

Joseph Hutchison, current Poet Laureate of Colorado (2014-2018), is the author of more than 15 books. He teaches at the University of Denver’s University College, where he directs the Arts & Culture and Global Affairs programs. He lives with his wife in the mountains southwest of Denver. Two of his most recent chapbooks, The Earth-Boat and The Satire Lounge, as well as his translation of Miguel Lupián’s Ephemeral, have recently been published with Folded Word.

Month in Review: December 2015

In December, Folded Word released chapbooks and received news about exciting new opportunities for 2016. We are excited to enter the New Year with our first grant, a Twitter-zine relaunch, and more chapbooks upcoming in the spring.

In November, the press celebrated the release of two new full-length titles. We are looking forward to more releases in the coming month, as well as a revitalization of our online poetry zine unFold. There will be more exciting news as we look forward to the new year, so watch for posted updates!

Wanted: 2016 Chapbooks

While we have filled all our book-length publication slots for 2016, we are still searching for chapbook manuscripts. Next year we will be publishing one chapbook per month and will offer subscriptions, so it would be a great year to join the Folded family….
