FoldedConnection: PressFest!
Last Friday, during the PEN World Voices Festival, our Assistant Editor Kristine Slentz showcased our international books via Folded Word’s table at PressFest! — a side event organized by CLMP at the Washington Mews in NYC.
Lee Slonimsky and Elizabeth J. Coleman were there to sign copies of Folded Word’s first translation from English to French, Pythagore, amoureux | Pythagoras in Love. And later Paco Márquez, our first US immigrant voice, was there to sign copies of his Portraits in G Minor. It was a chilly day with lots of wind, but our intrepid editor and authors made the best of it — connecting with readers and sharing their experiences with the press.
Other titles displayed at the event included:
- Ephemeral by Miguel Lupián, translated into English by Joseph Hutchison
- Gisela by Marcus Speh
- Orange Balloon by Samantha Priestley, illustrated by Megan Graustein
- Worlds Apart by Smitha Murthy and Dorothee Lang
- A Year Unfolding by Debbie Strange
