INVITATION: All art grows out of paying attention: in sight, sound, scent, taste & touch. You are invited to craft a written response (poetry or prose, 50 words or less) to the image and scene below:
SCENE: A meandering stream through the prairie becomes another smudge of color on the landscape. Grasshoppers lift and flit forward only to lift and flit again as the crunch of footfall reaches them. A light wind suggests the passing of time as do the lost blooms of the coneflower. Reeds bend and are brightened by the sun. Our days are filled with foreground and background.
