This year will be our 3rd year with a booth at the NYC/CUNY Chapbook Festival‘s book fair. It will also be our first year launching titles at the festival. If you swing by C-Level of The Graduate Center at CUNY on 2 April 2015, you can be some of the first humans on the planet to hold HONEY AND BANDAGES by Katie Longofono & Mary Stone, WHAT WAS HERE by Julie Warther & calligraphy by JS Graustein, and ARTIFACTS AND RELICS by Mark J. Mitchell.

We know that not everyone can travel to New York City to attend, so we’ve developed a schedule of fun for the day with activities both at and beyond our booth (online activities in italics). We hope you’ll come to at least one of the following:

  • 10 AM – 7 PM, Chapbook Queries. The editor in chief (JS Graustein) and poetry editor (Rose Auslander) will be taking submission packets that conform to our guidelines. We are especially interested in 20-poem collections of poetry & haiku; and 5000 word short stories, literary essays, literary memoirs, and travel narratives.
  • 10 – 11 AM, Featured Chapbook = ARTIFACTS & RELICS by Mark J. Mitchell. $5 copies and a chance to talk to the chapbook’s editor, Rose Auslander.
  • 11 AM – 12 PM, Featured Chapbook = THE EARTH-BOAT 2nd Edition by Joseph Hutchison (Colorado’s Poet Laureate). $5 copies and a chance to talk to the chapbook’s editor, JS Graustein.
  • 12 – 1 PM, Featured Chapbook = DREAMERS by Samantha Priestley. $5 copies at the festival. Online, the author will be waiting at her home in the UK to chat with you on Facebook.
  • 1 – 2 PM, Featured Chapbook = WHAT WAS HERE by Julie Warther with calligraphy by JS Graustein. $5 copies at the festival. Online, the author will be waiting at her home in Ohio to chat with you on Facebook.
  • 2:30 – 3:30 PM, Featured Chapbook = WASP SHADOWS by Ben Moeller-Gaa with calligraphy by JS Graustein. $5 copies at the festival. Online, the author will be waiting at his home in Missouri to chat with you on Twitter. Use #WaspShadows to join in.
  • 4 – 5 PM, Calligrapher Signing = WASP SHADOWS and WHAT WAS HERE. $5 copies and a chance to talk to the chapbooks’ calligrapher, JS Graustein.
  • 5 – 6 PM, Author Signing = HINTS (a Kindle Bestseller, Women’s Poetry). $5 copies and a chance to talk to the author, Rose Auslander.
  • 6 – 7 PM, Author Signing = HONEY AND BANDAGES. $5 copies and a chance to talk to one of the co-authors, Katie Longofono.

$5 discount price on print copies will only be available on-site during each chapbook’s featured hour. Standard single-copy price is always $8, but we’ll also be offering a 3 for $20 deal all day on-site.

Hope to see you there!
