Exploring the world, one voice at a time.
Last fall, we ran a contest for works that answered the question, “Freight, what are you carrying?” Over the past few months, we’ve had the privilege of reading poetry, fiction, essays, and looking at images that explore all the different types of freight we carry with us through life. Now it’s your turn to read the prose and poetry on our shortlist and then vote on the works you think should win. Due to quirks in the submission pool, the art and photography winners have already been selected; they’ll be announced with all the winners on 1 February 2011. The writers of the winning works will receive a signed copy of Mel Bosworth’s novel, FREIGHT, currently scheduled for a September 2011 release.
Please read the prose entries at the Freight Collective site before casting your ballot.
Please read the poetry entries at the Freight Collective site before casting your vote.
Voting will close at 23:59 Pacific on 31 January 2011.
