Heron launched on-schedule on 15 July 2009. Issue 1 features a short story byPicFic‘s Regular Contributor Mel Bosworth, written exclusively for this project.
Heron has been released in multiple formats. The most exciting one for us is the limited-edition professionally printed mini-mag. Most are available as signed/numbered collectibles, distributed by the author. But we have saved a few to give out as prizes for those who help us spread Heron across the globe.
More accessible are our free print-at-home versions of Heron. These will be downloadable from this webpage from noon Eastern on 15 July 2009 until noon Eastern on 15 December 2009. A free dramatized reading of the work on mp3 is available here as well.
For our inaugural issue, we have the great good fortune to have Mel reading his own story: “Leave Me as I Lessen.”
